Overview:
The Little Gin Company is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Sales Representative with at least 2 years of experience in sales to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for premium spirits and a proven ability to drive business growth by building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, including retailers, distributors, and on-premise locations (bars, restaurants). This position offers an exciting opportunity to promote our award-winning gin products and contribute to the success of our expanding brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities with retailers, distributors, restaurants, bars, and other potential partners in the spirits industry. Proactively seek out and target new clients to expand our customer base.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty. Regularly check in with clients to understand their needs, resolve any issues, and provide ongoing support.
Product Knowledge & Promotion: Develop an in-depth understanding of Little Gin Company’s products, their unique qualities, and their position in the market. Conduct product demonstrations and tastings for clients, ensuring they fully understand the benefits and features of our products.
Sales Targets & Reporting: Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets. Track, analyze, and report on sales activities, performance, and pipeline to senior management. Use CRM tools to manage leads, follow up on prospects, and maintain accurate customer records.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer preferences, and competitors. Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams based on market insights.
Event Support & Brand Representation: Represent Little Gin Company at industry events, tastings, festivals, and trade shows. Build brand awareness and engage potential clients by showcasing our products and brand story.
Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales materials, promotional campaigns, and product launches. Ensure that all marketing efforts align with the sales strategy and business goals.
Contract Negotiations & Closing Sales: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients, ensuring profitability while maintaining strong business relationships. Close sales and ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
Customer Service & Issue Resolution: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
Skills & Qualifications:
Sales Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the beverage, spirits, or food & beverage industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the spirits market, including trends, consumer preferences, and competitors. Familiarity with gin products and the craft spirits movement is a plus.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, conduct presentations, and represent the company effectively in a variety of settings.
Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and industry professionals. Skilled in customer retention and account management.
Negotiation & Closing Skills: Experienced in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve profitable outcomes while maintaining positive client relationships.
CRM & Sales Tools Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tracking tools to manage leads, opportunities, and customer information.
Event & Promotion Skills: Experience organizing and participating in events such as tastings, festivals, or trade shows to promote products and engage with clients.
Self-Motivated & Results-Oriented: Driven by achieving sales targets and contributing to the company’s growth. Self-starter with strong time-management and organizational skills.
Problem-Solving: Able to address customer concerns and find solutions quickly and effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, with a strong background in B2B sales or business development.
Experience in the alcohol, spirits, or beverage industry is highly preferred, but not required.
Proven ability to manage key accounts and maintain customer relationships while driving sales.
Experience with event promotion, trade shows, or tastings is a plus.
