Job Overview:

As a Factory Worker at Bakkavor, you will be an essential part of our production process, ensuring that our food products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, assisting with various stages of food production, packaging, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Line Duties: Operate machinery and assist with the production of food items in accordance with quality and safety standards.

Quality Control: Monitor product quality during production and packaging to ensure products meet required specifications.

Packaging: Efficiently package products for distribution, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and ready for dispatch.

Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to meet production targets and ensure efficient workflow.

Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure smooth operations.

Stock Control: Assist with the management of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring stock is organized and readily available.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a factory or production environment is required.

Attention to Detail: Ability to identify potential issues with products and processes and take corrective action as needed.

Teamwork: Strong ability to work as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to work effectively with supervisors and team members.

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods, lifting, and moving heavy items.

Health & Safety Awareness: Understanding of and commitment to health and safety practices in a production environment.

Time Management: Ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain high levels of productivity.

Adaptability: Willingness to work across different areas of the factory as needed and learn new skills.

Desirable Attributes:

Experience in food production or a similar manufacturing environment.

Forklift or other machine operation certification (if applicable).

Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
