Job Overview:
As a Super Market Worker at Iceland Foods, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of the store. You will assist customers, maintain store cleanliness, stock shelves, and ensure that the store provides a safe, organized, and welcoming shopping experience. You will also be expected to work in various areas of the store, depending on the operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers, answering questions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Stock Management: Ensure shelves are stocked, well-organized, and products are displayed to a high standard.
Checkout Operations: Operate the checkout counter, handling cash, card payments, and providing change where necessary.
Store Maintenance: Maintain store cleanliness, including tidying aisles, cleaning, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the products offered, including promotions and sales, to offer recommendations to customers.
Team Collaboration: Work with colleagues to achieve team goals and ensure store objectives are met.
Stock Rotation: Assist with stock replenishment, rotating stock to ensure products are fresh and available to customers.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or supermarket environment is required.
Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support customers effectively.
Teamwork: Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to keep the store tidy and well-stocked.
Flexibility: Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required.
