Job Description

Position Overview:
As a Hotel Manager at The Pig Hotels, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable stay. You will manage the team, maintain high standards of service and cleanliness, and ensure that the hotel runs smoothly. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, a passion for excellent service, and the ability to lead by example.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional service and a smooth guest experience.

Manage a diverse team, including front desk staff, housekeeping, and food & beverage teams, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and meet performance standards.

Ensure the hotel’s facilities and rooms are always maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety.

Handle guest complaints or issues professionally and promptly, ensuring satisfaction and fostering repeat business.

Monitor and manage hotel budgets, including staff payroll, procurement, and other operational costs, ensuring efficiency and profitability.

Implement and maintain high standards of service, with a focus on guest satisfaction and attention to detail.

Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of hotel staff to maintain a high level of service quality.

Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new guests, drive occupancy, and maintain high levels of guest loyalty.

Monitor hotel performance, track key metrics, and prepare reports for senior management.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including food safety and COVID-19 protocols.

Coordinate and collaborate with other departments, such as the kitchen, events, and maintenance teams, to deliver seamless guest experiences.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: At least 1 year of managerial experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, preferably in a boutique or luxury setting.

Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.

Customer Service: A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.

Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and improving profitability.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests, staff, and senior management effectively.

Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly resolve issues, including guest complaints, operational challenges, and staffing matters.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a focus on high standards of service.

Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Technology: Proficiency in hotel management software and basic office applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a luxury boutique or rural hotel setting.

Knowledge of local tourism, attractions, and events to help enhance the guest experience.

Experience in managing food and beverage services, including overseeing restaurant operations.

A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus.
