Job Description

Overview:

SkinBioTherapeutics is seeking a talented and driven Business Research Scientist with at least 1 year of experience in scientific research or a related field to join our innovative R&D team. As a Research Scientist at SkinBioTherapeutics, you will play a key role in advancing the development of cutting-edge skincare therapies and products. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and industry professionals to conduct high-quality research aimed at improving skin health through biotechnological innovations.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Research: Plan and execute experiments to investigate novel approaches for developing bioactive skincare solutions, focusing on understanding skin biology, the skin microbiome, and how these factors influence skin health and aging.

Formulation Development: Collaborate with the R&D team to design, test, and optimize skincare formulations, ensuring they meet desired efficacy, stability, and safety standards.

Data Collection & Analysis: Perform experiments using various laboratory techniques (e.g., cell culture, biochemical assays, molecular biology) and analyze data to draw meaningful conclusions. Ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Literature Review: Stay updated on the latest research in the field of skin biology, biotechnology, and skincare. Review scientific literature and integrate findings into ongoing projects.

Collaboration: Work closely with other research scientists, product development teams, and regulatory experts to ensure alignment on research objectives and timelines. Share findings and contribute to cross-functional projects.

Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing experimental procedures, results, and conclusions. Document experimental protocols and outcomes in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Innovation & Development: Contribute new ideas for research projects, identify potential areas for product innovation, and evaluate new technologies or methodologies that could enhance SkinBioTherapeutics’ research capabilities.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that research and product development activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, including Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and other relevant guidelines.

Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot experimental issues, making recommendations for improvements in research methodology and experimental design.

Support Commercialization: Assist in the translation of research findings into viable commercial products by working closely with the product development and marketing teams.

Skills & Qualifications:

Scientific Expertise: Strong understanding of skin biology, dermatology, or related fields. Experience with molecular biology, biochemistry, or cell culture techniques is highly desirable.

Laboratory Skills: Proficiency with laboratory techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, microscopy, or cell-based assays. Experience in formulation development is a plus.

Data Analysis: Ability to analyze complex scientific data using statistical software and interpret results to guide future experiments and product development.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare research reports, communicate findings to internal teams, and contribute to scientific publications.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions in a research setting.

Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and precision in performing experiments, analyzing data, and documenting results.

Collaboration: Strong team player who works well with colleagues from various disciplines (e.g., R&D, marketing, regulatory) and contributes to a positive and productive working environment.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and research goals.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a research or scientific role, preferably within skincare, dermatology, biotechnology, or a related industry.

Experience with skin research, particularly involving the microbiome, skin health, or cosmetic science, is highly advantageous.

Hands-on experience with laboratory work, including the preparation of reagents, conducting experiments, and using lab equipment.
